In just one week, I’m off to CASE District II “City of Firsts” Annual Conference in Philadelphia, PA. CASE conferences bring together professionals in advancement, alumni relations, development, communications and marketing. District II happens to be the largest CASE district, serving Delaware, DC, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Ontario, Pennsylvania, Puerto Rocs, West Virginia and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
I’m honored to have the opportunity to present at the conference with our client partner, Johns Hopkins Engineering for Professionals. I will be joined by Ken Schappelle, the Director of Marketing at JHU EP.
Find us on Tuesday at 8:30 am for Breakout Session #6.
Marketing to Niche Audiences: How Johns Hopkins Leveraged a Website Redesign to Recruit Best Fit Students
Engineering. Business. Divinity. Law. Nursing. Whatever the field, almost every program shares a common marketing challenge: how to reach a niche audience. After all, you want students who are not only interested in your unique offering, but who also have the skills, experience, qualifications and sense of purpose that make them the perfect fit. Finding those ideal students requires creativity, innovative thinking and a strategic approach.
Join Johns Hopkins University Engineering for Professionals and VisionPoint Marketing as we discuss the strategy behind creating a website to recruit and enroll a highly specialized niche audience. This session will walk through the research and creation of the website strategy capable of informing audience-focused decisions during information architecture, design and content creation.
Marketers for all types of programs (undergraduate, graduate, technical and beyond) will find value in this session, because every institution has a “best fit” student. The challenge lies in reaching those students by showcasing your unique value in ways that motivate them to take action.
If you’re not already registered for the CASE II Annual Conference, it’s not too late! You can still attend and register at the event. If it’s just not in the cards for you to attend this year, that’s fine too. We’ll have our presentation slides available to share after the conference. Feel free to contact us ahead of time to reserve your copy of the slides.
